In 1979, Restaurant Nora opened its doors in a 19th-century, red-brick corner building in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. This site originally housed a grocery store and an upstairs apartment for the owners; the current main dining room served as a stable for the horses that delivered the groceries. The restaurant represents the vision of Nora Pouillon, who — with the help of her two partners, brothers Steven and Thomas Damato — has always been a proponent of a sustainable lifestyle and believes that the most important element is eating organic, seasonal, local food prepared in a flavorful, balanced, healthy way. In 1999, Restaurant Nora became the nation's first certified organic restaurant, which means that at least 95 percent of all ingredients must be produced or supplied by certified organic farmers, growers, and suppliers. The menu changes daily, offering a la carte items and a three-course chef's tasting menu. The wine list presents over 100 exceptional wines from small producers, many of them using organically grown grapes and sustainable practices.

Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards in Sonoma, California, is Carneros' original sparkling wine house, owned and founded by the Ferrer family of Barcelona, Spain. The winery is the fulfillment of a longtime family dream: to make world-class méthode traditionnelle sparkling wines in an exceptional New World terroir. Today, Gloria Ferrer has over 500 Gold medals and 50 scores of 90+ ratings for both its sparkling and still wines, and is certified sustainable.

What if I do not have enough MileagePlus award miles?

You can buy up to 150,000 miles per account every calendar year through Personal Miles®. Miles are available in increments of 1,000, with a minimum purchase of 2,000 miles per transaction, up to a maximum of 100,000 miles, and in increments of 5,000 up to a maximum of 150,000 miles. Please allow up to 48 hours for miles to post to your MileagePlus account. Miles purchased are nonrefundable.
