United is offering an extremely rare, up-close and personal look at the plane maintenance facility that services some of the world’s largest aircraft.
You’ll get the inside scoop on all basic maintenance operations, from overhaul of major machinery like engines and landing gear, to routine work on composites and components. With over 30 years of commercial and military aviation experience, Managing Director Tony Spaulding will give the welcome remarks and guide you through the facility that not many passengers have seen.

- Access for one to attend a private MileagePlus Exclusives tour of United’s San Francisco maintenance facility on December 13, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. including:
- Welcome remarks from Tony Spaulding, Managing Director of San Francisco maintenance facility
- Attend a safety briefing and overview of facility operations
- Tour the facility with access to the 737, engine of the 777, and Boeing’s latest aircraft, a 787
- Catered lunch
*The tour is not wheel chair accessible as there are limited ADA accommodations due to the nature of the facility
*All tour attendees must wear closed-toed shoes
*This experience will be shared with other MileagePlus members
*A portion of this tour will include United’s work with the U.S. Air force. Due to security protocols, attendees will be required to provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
