Delivery Time

Once the auction closes for an item, you will be notified if your bid was successful via email and asked to check out by accurately and completely filling out your best contact and shipping information. If you do not check-out within 48 hours your item may be forfeited and awarded to the next highest bidder. You will also be contacted by a United representative within 5 business days with more information on your package, unless otherwise specified in the product description.

A physical mailing address within the 48 United States is required to bid on this item. Ships to U.S. 48 only. Cannot ship to a P.O. Box. For additional information, please refer to the Auction rules & restrictions.

Return policy

Once a bid has been placed you cannot retract it. Except as otherwise determined by United Airlines, Inc., in its sole discretion, no refunds will be provided on any auction item. If for any reason an item is received damaged, becomes unavailable, or cannot be fulfilled in whole or in part, United Airlines, Inc. reserves the right in its sole discretion to offer a concession to impacted members.

Auction Rules

To participate in an auction, the number of award miles in your account should be at least equal to the current bid per item. Enter the total number of Award Miles you want to bid in 'My max bid'. After placing your bid, you may follow the auction at the 'My auction account' page. If you win the auction, you will be notified via email and your account will be automatically debited for Award Miles you had bid. No miles will be deducted from your account before the end of the auction.

Quantity

The quantity available is stated on the auction page. You may not bid for more than allowable quantity. Bid per package based on the current winning bid, the system calculates the required minimum bid amount for your bid to become the winning bid. Your bid must be equal or higher than the required minimum bid shown in the field \'My max bid\'. If your bid is higher than the required minimum, the system will automatically increase the bid on your behalf, using only as much of your maximum bid as is required to keep you in the winning lot.

The maximum bid is the highest price in award miles you are willing to pay for the item, however you won't necessarily use the full amount of your maximum bid. Your maximum bid will be kept confidential.

Q: Can 2 people ride on 1 jetski?
A: Our Seadoo's can handle 2 riders in the ocean. For comfort, we highly recommend one rider per ski. For Families with children, passengers can ride as long as they are over 12 years old. The total weight capacity is 400lbs.

Q: What is the age requirement for this trip?
A:  To operate a jetski on your own, you must be 16 yrs old.  Passengers may ride behind an adult if they are over 12 years old.  This is an extreme outdoor adventure, and is not friendly for children.

Q: How intense is the trip? 
A: Depending on time of year, and ocean conditions, this adventure can be smooth sailing, but many times, especially during summer time, the ocean conditions can get rough, and one MUST have a sense of adventure and confidence when riding.  If you do not have an outgoing sense of adventure in you, do NOT book this trip.  You may want to consider one of our local coastline adventures instead.

Q: What type of watercraft do we ride?
A: Our fleet of watercraft are custom built skis by Seadoo.  They are very stable, quiet and provide a wonderful ride in the ocean environment. As an added bonus, they are low emission eco friendly vessels.

Q: When is the best time to go?
A: We run Jetski2Catalina Adventure year round.  The ocean is an amazing place, and depending on the time of year you travel with us to the island, you will see different marine life, experience different conditions.  We provide each of our guests with a wetsuit and vest, so our riders are seldom cold. The water temperature remains in the upper 60's all thru the spring and fall, so snorkeling is still an option during these months. 

Q: What is provided for us on the trip?
A: We provide all the equipment you will need: Jetski, Fuel, Wetsuit, Safety equipment, snorkeling gear, pictures and guides and all the on water activities, including swimming thru the world famous Blue Caverns.  You simply show up and let us do all the work.

Q: What should I bring along on the trip?
A: We recommend you bring bottled water, sunscreen, water shoes or sandals for walking on the island, water proof camera , extra t-shirt in a zip lock bag, towel, credit card for lunch and gift shop.  It is also recommended you bring along a snack (granola bar, fruit snacks, etc) as most guests like to relax on their ski when we stop to rest, and have a bite to eat.

Q: What if weather is bad?  Do we still go?
A: We monitor NOAA weather up until the moment we leave, and continue to do so while on the ride.  If your guide is not comfortable with any weather condition, he may cancel or delay the trip, until it is safe for the journey.

Q: I would like to snorkel.  Do you provide the equipment?
A: Each of our skis are equipped with a mask and snorkel.  We do not provide fins.  If you would like to bring fins, please make sure they are the short style as the full size fin will not fit in the storage compartments. If you would like to bring along your own snorkeling equipment, that is fine as well.
