How old do you have to be?
Flyers must be 3 years of age or older. Children under 18 years of age need to have a parent or guardian sign their waiver.
Who can fly?
We welcome flyers from all ages. If you have reasonable health and fitness you can fly. But do check the criteria below before you book. We’ll do everything we can to help you fly because our goal is to deliver the dream of flight to everyone! There are a few exceptions:
- Flyers must be 3 years of age or older.
- Flyers who weigh between 260-300 lbs may not be able to fly. Additional evaluation by an iFLY staff member upon check in will be required to determine if the flyers can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions apply.
- People who weigh over 300 lbs will not be able to fly.
- Women who are pregnant should not fly.
- Participants with a hard cast or hard prosthetic that cannot be removed are not permitted to fly.
- People with current or prior head, neck, back or shoulder injury, heart condition, or any other condition that may impede their ability to take part in physical activity or increase the risk of injury, should not fly.
- iFLY recommends people with prior shoulder dislocations DO NOT FLY!
Is there a weight restriction?
In order to provide a safe experience for its customers and instructors, iFLY may not be able to accommodate flyers who weigh between 260-300 lbs and will not be able to accommodate flyers whose weight exceeds 300 lbs.
Upon check in for flight reservations, additional evaluation by local staff will be required to determine if flyers between 260-300 lbs can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions may apply.
High flights are available to add to the flight experience for flyers who weigh 260 lbs or less.
Contact your local iFLY for more information.
Why are there weight restrictions?
Weight restrictions exists solely for the reason of safety and are by no means arbitrary. In fact, we want everyone to be able to enjoy indoor skydiving. However, in order to provide a safe experience for flyers and instructors, iFLY may not be able to accommodate flyers who weigh between 260-300 lbs. Upon check in for flight reservations, additional evaluation by local staff will be required to determine if the flyer can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions may apply. High flights are available to add to the flight experience for flyers who weigh 260 lbs or less. iFLY will not be able to accommodate any participant whose weight exceeds 300 lbs.
For additional information, contact your local iFLY.
Do I have to do watch the preflight video?
All first-time flyers are required to watch the preflight video. You’ll get a lot of important and helpful information.
Can I eat before I fly?
Yes, feel free to eat before your scheduled flight session. You won’t get any feeling of motion sickness, nausea, or dropping feeling in your stomach.
Can I wear my glasses?
Yes. We have larger goggles that fit over eyeglasses.
Will I need to take off my watch and jewelry?
Yes. You should remove any items that might flap around or become loose, such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, rings, and hair accessories. In addition, you should remove everything from your pockets. We do have lockers for your use, but we recommend that you leave anything valuable at home as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen property.
Can I do tricks and flips in the tunnel?
Our primary concern is for your safety in the flight chamber so the tricks or flips are done by experienced flyers only. Some flyers are able to do turns, move up and down, and forward and backward during their first flight. Be sure to ask your instructor how to advance your flight skills.
Why do I need to wear a flight suit?
The instructors are trained to grasp the handles of your flight suit should you need spotting.
What should I wear?
Please wear well-fitting, lace-up sneakers, or running shoes. Other shoes are not suitable. Wear casual clothes, preferably pants and a shirt without a collar. You won’t have to change out of these clothes—you'll put your flight suit on over your street clothes. Individuals with long hair should wear it braided and in a low bun.

Is it hard to breathe?
Not at all. It is the same as if you stick your head out a car window while driving. All you feel is the wind in your face. Just breathe normally, either through your mouth or your nose.
Is it safe?
Yes, your safety is our primary concern. Our unique design with its wall-to-wall air column, along with our certified and highly-trained instructors, allows you to safely enjoy your flight session. Your flight instructor is with you through your entire flight experience regardless of your level of experience.
How should I style my hair?
Hairstyles must allow for a proper fitting helmet. We recommend that individuals with long hair secure their hair in a low, braided bun.
